Getting reading in the morning is a hard process. We can all pretend we love it, but day in and day out, it almost seems easier to just grab yesterday's clothes and move on. Plus if you are a mom, you have little people to get dressed and ready. You don't have time to get yourself out the door and ready for a new day.

But what if there was an easier way to get ready? Then you can feel good about how you look and still have time to take care of the little kids.

Here are 10 tips for getting ready in the morning

1. Hair

Talk to your hair stylist or look up easy styles that fit your face shape on Instagram, whether it's finding a couple of different updos or the perfect haircut so you can just put in a little product and be ready to go.

2. Earrings

Put on a little bit of jewelry. It can be a small pair of earrings or necklace. Just pick out something and put it on. Jewelry adds a little a flair to any outfit.

3. Pants

Pull out your actual pants and make sure they still fit (if not then it's a great opportunity to go shopping). Match them with different shirts and leave them in easily accessible places.

4. Shirt

My favorite shirts are loose and long-fitting. Find your favorite style or your top 10 favorite shirts and put them in the front of your closet. After you match them with pants, you now have easy access to cute clothes that aren't the workout variety.

5. Makeup

Set an easy makeup routine. You will be amazed at how awake and good you feel if you just put on a little mascara or eyeshadow. Go through your old makeup and throw away empty/broken containers or the colors that aren't working for you anymore. If you have an organized makeup drawer or bag, it will be easier for you to have a quick five to 10-minute makeup routine.

6. Purses

Organize that sucker. Sometimes we can look great but feel like a mess when we walk around with a mess in our bag. Feeling unorganized can make it seem like all the effort getting ready isn't worth it because you're still left scrambling every morning.

Make it a weekly goal to organize your purse or update your planner or the calendar in your phone. You will be amazed at how good you will feel when you are little more organized.

7. Make your bed

This doesn't have anything to do with what you are wearing, but if you make your bed, your room can feel like a sanctuary. This will help you feel more relaxed as you're getting ready for the day ahead.

8. Prep the night before

At this point you're probably asking yourself how you're going to do it all in the morning. If you are anything like me, you always wish your mornings had more time.

Take 20 minutes each night and prepare your morning routine. Pick out what clothes you want to wear, find your purse and keys, plan tomorrow's meals then find your kids' homework, backpacks and shoes. I promise your day will go smoothly if you take the time to prepare the night before.

9. Shop with friends

Go shopping with your friends. Let them compliment you in new clothes. Listen to their advice about what they wear and what is the most comfortable. Then every time you wear the clothes again, you will remember the compliments they gave you when you bought the outfit (which can be a major self-confidence booster).

10. Compliment yourself

At the beginning of each day, remind yourself how great you are! You are a wonderful mother, you look fabulous and you are doing your best. You deserve to think positively about yourself.

Being a mother can be stressful, and sometimes you forget to take care of yourself. Use these 10 tips to feel better about what you are wearing and have a little more organized life.
