Mazzone-Meyer recounted the video’s journey to viral fame, noting that it initially gained attention on her personal Instagram account. During a road trip from New York to Wisconsin, she decided to share the video on TikTok. She was amazed to wake up after a nap on the 16-hour journey to discover that the video had already garnered hundreds of thousands of views, quickly climbing to over a million and eventually reaching 75 million.

The video has since been picked up by news outlets in countries such as Italy, Chile, Spain, and the Netherlands. "Liam's journey to getting glasses started with early health concerns. After abnormal scans in utero and a premature birth that required a three-week NICU stay, his doctors recommended various tests, including an eye exam. Initially, his slight farsightedness wasn’t deemed worrisome, but a follow-up appointment revealed that he needed glasses immediately," Mazzone-Meyer said.
Since receiving his glasses, Liam has been even happier and more interactive. Mazzone-Meyer shared that his new spectacles have transformed him, allowing him to engage more with his surroundings. She feels relieved that they caught the issue and grateful that he can now see the world more clearly.
