OK, if what this guy says is true, he's an absolute genius. Nobody likes dealing with a screaming baby. If you're anything like me, that sounds is like nails on a chalkboard. Dr. Robert Hamilton, a pediatrician in Santa Monica, California, claims to have discovered a cure. It's not a magical recipe or expensive product-it's just a simple hold.

Now, nothing is going to work 100 percent of the time. If your baby is sick or hungry, he/she is probably going to cry - a lot. But, if your baby is just screaming for the heck of it, give this hold a try.

If you're in a place where you can't watch the video, here's a screenshot of Dr. Hamilton's steps, followed by a more detailed description of the magical hold:

1. With your non-dominant hand, gently fold the baby's arms across its chest, with the left arm overlapping the right arm.

2. Your same hand (non-dominant) should cover the baby's tucked arms.

3. The thumb and pointer finger of that same hand act as a gentle prop for the baby's head and chin. Be careful not to choke the baby.

4. Your dominant hand should hold the baby's bottom (the fleshy part of the hand, not your fingertips). Hold the baby at a 45-degree angle, with the baby leaning forward.

5. Dr. Hamilton suggests gently bouncing, rocking or "stirring" the baby as you hold it.

Dr. Hamilton says this hold is most effective for the first two to three months after birth. After that, he says babies generally become too heavy.

Try it out and let us know in the comments section if it works!
