Pregnancy is a special time in someone's life, but experiencing pregnancy at the same time as your sisters makes it all the more special. The Theim sisters, Jenna, 33, Jessica, 30, Jordan, 27 and Jaden, 25, are all expecting babies around the same time this year between August and November. Easter Sunday was extra special this year when the fourth and final sister revealed that she was pregnant, making all four of them pregnant at the same time.
The sisters said in an interview that this was not planned and was something they never thought would happen to them. "We all got married within the last five years, so [this was] just kind of a natural progression," said the eldest sister, Jena. This will be baby number two for Jena, but for the rest of the sisters, they will be first-time moms, saying this is something "very special to go through together."
The sisters are spread across different states with Jena living in Denver, Colorado, Jessica and Jordan in Omaha, Nebraska and youngest sister Jaden living in Dallas, Texas. They said that being pregnant at the same time has had them talking much more than usual. "I think just being pregnant, we talk a lot more … about what we’re craving [or] what we want to eat," Jaden said. Jaden, who works as a second-grade teacher in Dallas, says that the distance has been difficult, but their group chat, named "Bumpin,'" has helped. "Just having that reassurance and kind of being supportive to each other — it’s so nice," she said.
For the grandparents, who went from having one grandchild, to soon-to-be five grandchildren, are over the moon. "My dad just keeps saying how blessed he is," Jena said. "He has four daughters, and he’s just the best girl dad."
By December 2023, all four babies had been born, making it an extra special holiday season as a family. Jordan welcomed her baby boy, Stanley, on July 20th. Jaden welcomed her baby girl, Lydia, on September 25th. Five days later, Jena welcomed her son, Miles, on September 30th. Finally, Jessica welcomed her baby girl, Carsen, on November 13th. The sisters say that this experience has made them closer than ever before. “We all FaceTime a ton, nurse all at the same time often — whether via FaceTime or in person when we are together — we confide in each other about postpartum struggles, and we constantly send pictures of our babies in the family group message,” said Jaden. During the holiday season, the sisters all had their babies baptized together. Jena said, “It was such a special time to baptize them all together with the same priest who married all of us, and everyone is someone’s godparent, too.”
