How difficult can it be? You make a knot, loop some bunny ears, then tie another knot and pull, right? But, you can't make the knot too tight or the bunny ears too big. If you make those mistakes, you have to start all over again.

It's actually a bit complicated, especially for a young child.

But what if I told you there was an easier way? A way that could make your child a shoe-tying master in just five minutes?

Well, there is a way, and it goes like this:

Step 1

Take the first lace and place it behind the second one. Wrap the second lace around the first one to form a traditional knot.

Step 2

Tighten the knot so your foot feels comfortable and secure inside your shoe. Then, repeat the first step.

Step 3

As you tighten the second loop, stop when you have just enough space to place your adult-size finger in the loop. (This may be two or three child-size fingers.)

Step 4

Then, grab the first lace and push it back through the hole.

Step 5

Do the same thing to the second lace, but this time push it through that same hole from the back.

Step 6

Now that you have two large loops, pull them both nice and tight and ...

voila! The shoe is tied with a neat bow!

This technique has a high success rate. And, it will bring your child great satisfaction and joy knowing tying shoes can be easy!
