Post Malone welcomed his first child in June 2022, and has recently opened up about the joys of fatherhood, saying its "the happiest I've ever been." The singer, whose full name is Austin Post, has kept his family out of the limelight, but Post hasn't been holding back when it comes to gushing over life as a father. He told GQ that being a father is “great…She’s huge, she’s super tall, and she’s such a legend, and I’m just happy to see her.” Post has been vocal about his decision to keep his daughter's name private, along with being sure that she knows she can make her own decisions in life. when asked if his daughter likes his music, Post replied saying, “She hasn’t cried whenever I put my music on so far, which I think is a good sign, but we’ll wait and find out. I got to let her decide. I tried to play her some stuff, but I can’t really tell what she’s into right now.” While appearing on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the "Sunflower" singer shared how happy he is to be a father. "I'm the happiest I've ever been. I’ve always wanted kids and like a big family.”

Post has been open about his recent weight loss, saying his daughter's birth played a huge role in his choice to live a healthier lifestyle. "Having a baby really put a lot into perspective, and it's really slowed me down a lot, party-wise, going out and being crazy," Post he explained in an interview on The Zane Lowe show. "I just want to take some time now. And actually you mentioned all the accouterments of success and everything that comes with that. Now I just want to take a second and enjoy it." After his weight loss, rumors swirled that Post was doing drugs, which resulted in his weight change, but he was quick to debunk those rumors in an Instagram post saying,  “i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage." He continued by saying "i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel.”

"I'm excited for this next chapter in my life, I'm the happiest I've ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad," he told E! News. "Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day."
