With Christmas being the most wonderful time of the year, celebrating it just once doesn't seem to be enough. That's why LEON Day - or Noel backwards - exists. Today is the perfect excuse to throw a Christmas in June party with these festive pool party hacks.
Christmas Pool Party
Activity
Decorate your yard (or a pool if you have access to one) with these candy cane pool noodles while you munch on refreshing watermelon trees and have a "snowball" water fight.
Watermelon Trees
1.Cut a watermelon in half both directions and then into semi-circle slices.
2.Cut each slice into wedges.
3.Use a cookie cutter (or a knife if you do not have a cookie cutter) to shape the slices into Christmas trees.
4.Finish cutting all the trees and insert skewers for display if you wish.
Candy Cane Pool Noodle
1.Form the candy cane shape by tying fishing line around the top of the noodle and pulling it in toward the middle of the noodle. Tie the fishing line to the middle of the noodle to secure the shape.
2.Wrap ribbon or crepe around the noodle and secure with tape.
3.If standing up in the ground, insert dowel into the bottom hole of the noodle and insert in the ground.
Snowball Fight
1.Fill white water balloons with water and tie off.
2.Have a water balloon fight!
