Activity

Print out the boat tutorials below (or download them here and here) and have each member of the family pick a boat to make. Once the boats have been completed, place them in the water and see who can put the most items in their boat without it tipping or sinking.

Famifi This: Up the competition by having boat races across the sink or tub. Each boat owner places a straw behind the boat and tries to get their boat across the finish line first. They must do this without touching the boat with the straw but can propel it by creating bubbles under the water or blowing the boat from behind.
