Ariana Grande and husband Dalton Gomez are separated and headed for divorce. A source close to the couple confirmed to TMZ that the couple had been separated since January and were headed towards a divorce. Recently, rumors began to swirl that Grande and Gomez may be separated after Grande was seen attending Wimbledon without wearing her wedding ring. Last year, Grande posted a makeup tutorial on TikTok where she wasn't wearing her wedding ring, but quickly shut down rumors saying, "I'm just not wearing my wedding ring, it's getting cleaned. I'm not getting a divorce before you start, don't." Another source close to the couple told TMZ that the pair tried to rekindle their romance a few months ago, but unfortunately failed. The source said that the couple remain friends and regularly talk on the phone, but the sadly marriage is over.
Grande has been living in London where she is filming the screen adaptation of "Wicked," and according to sources, the distance played a role in their separation. "She was happy in Los Angeles for a couple of years. She wanted to make a life there with Dalton," the source told People. "He is super focused on his career and needs to live in Los Angeles," the sources said referring to Gomez's job as a luxury real estate agent. "It's definitely been an issue for them. Dalton's career is demanding and he can't leave Los Angeles often. So when [Grande] started filming Wicked in England, they were in for a long-distance marriage."
The pair began dating in January 2020 and announced their engagement just 11 months later. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on May 15, 2021 at Grande's home in Montecito, California where less than 20 people attended.
