Frances Bean Cobain and her husband Riley Hawk are now parents!
Frances, daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, shared on Instagram that she and Riley, 31, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk, born on September 17th.
"Welcome to the world, most beautiful son. We love you more than anything ✨," Frances captioned the post.
In the black-and-white photos, the newborn is seen holding hands with his mom in one shot, while another shows Riley — son of retired pro skater Tony Hawk — holding the baby with trees in the background.

Many of the couple's famous friends and family members left well-wishes in the comments. New grandpa Tony Hawk joked, "My favorite grandson!" Zelda Williams, daughter of the late Robin Williams, exclaimed, "Ahhhh! Congrats!!!!" Harper Grohl, daughter of Kurt’s former Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl, shared heart and teary-eyed emojis, and comedian Kate Micucci wrote, "Welcome sweet Ronin! We love you! ❤💫."
Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk tied the knot on October 7, 2023 in a ceremony officiated by R.E.M frontman Michael Stipe, who is Frances' godfather.
The pair had been dating since at least 2021 with Frances making them Instagram official in January 2022 after taking a year-long break from social media. She shared a carousel of images of moments that she said "brought me a great amount of joy" including glimpses of her relationship with Hawk. In one photo, it shows Frances and Riley cozied up on a boat next to Riley's dad Tony Hawk and his stepmom Catherine Goodman. "I took a year long break from posting on Instagram which was exceptionally good for my mental, emotional & spiritual health," Frances captioned the post. "2021 brought me more into the present moment than I've ever been, which I'm deeply grateful for." She continued, "I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy. Here's to hoping everyone's 2022 is filled with the authentic connections, a lot of warmth & profound discovery of self. Happy new year."
Frances was previously married to Isaiah Silva for 21 months before she filed for divorce in 2016. According to documents obtained at the time by People, Frances stated that Silva should not be entitled to any money from her father's estate, which was estimated to be valued at $450 million. The pair ended up fighting over ownership of Kurt's iconic 1959 guitar, which Frances lost to Silva in the divorce settlement after he claimed she gave it to him as a present. This is the first marriage for Riley Hawk who is a professional skateboarder like his father along with being in a band called Warish, who recently signed with an independent record label.
