It's easy to get caught up in our own busy lives, and sometimes we forget our husbands need a little extra love. Your hubby works so hard to provide for your family, be a fun dad if you have kids, make time for you and on top of it all, he's the person you turn to whenever you need anything.
There's no question that husbands and wives work together to make the relationship and family work. You both pour hours and hours of effort and love into your lives, and most of the time, those contributions go unnoticed. Sometimes, we even start to complain about the things our husbands are doing wrong, instead of focusing on what they're doing right.
It seems like your husband is Superman, but the truth is he could use a pick-me-up every once in awhile. Here are 12 ways you can make his day today:
1. Leave him a note in his car
Sneak a little love note into his car or his closet before he leaves for work. Having a little surprise note from you will start his day off on the right note, and he'll really appreciate the thought and love that went into the kind gesture.
2. Thank him for everything he does
Your hubby does so much for you and your family, and he does most of it without being thanked. Make a mental note of things you notice him doing, and thank him for them. He doesn't necessarily need to be thanked all the time, but he'll be so grateful that you're noticing his efforts.
3. Dress up for him
I'm not saying you have to put on your nicest dress and have your hair and makeup professionally done, but it might be nice to take a little extra time getting ready. He thinks you're beautiful and amazing no matter what you're wearing or how your hair looks, but putting in that extra effort will make him feel special, and remind him of just how amazing you are.
4. Show interest in his interests
My husband has very different TV show tastes than I do, but he still tries to keep me updated on what's happening in his latest favorite. Every once in awhile I'll watch an episode or two with him, and he loves it. It gives me time with him, and it makes him feel like I care about his interests. It's so simple but means so much.
5. Help him
Men are the worst at admitting they need help. When you see your husband struggling or stressing, help him without asking if he needs help. He'll appreciate it so much.
6. Show a little extra physical affection
Give your sweetheart a few extra kisses in the morning or some extra snuggles when you're going to sleep. That extra intimate time with you will mean the world to him.
7. Send a flirty text
If you're away from your hubby, text him flirty little notes throughout the day. It'll make him smile, and he'll be so excited to come home to be with his sweet, flirty wife.
8. Make his favorite dinner
It's no secret that men love food. You've been around him long enough to know his favorite dishes, so surprise him and make one for dinner. He'll be so excited and it will brighten his day.
9. Give him a massage
There's nothing better than a surprise massage after a long day. Just start rubbing his shoulders without him asking. Maybe you'll even get lucky and he'll return the favor.
10. Let him relax
It's hard to let your husband relax when you have a list of things you want him to do, but it's important to give him time to unwind. He doesn't have to relax for hours, but giving him 15 minutes to himself will make a huge difference.
11. Take him on a date
Surprise your hubby by taking him on a fun date. It doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate. Even if you just go out for ice cream and have an hour to yourselves, that quality time will be so much fun and your sweetheart will love it.
12. Sincerely tell him you love him
Don't just yell that you love him as he's rushing out the door in the morning. When you have a moment of quiet in your busy schedules, look him in the eyes and say "I love you."
It's not hard to show your husband how much you love him. If you start by doing one or two of these things every day, your sweetheart will come to understand just how much you love him.
