As humans, we all have things we hate about the opposite sex, but sometimes we wonder if anyone else feels the same way. Below are the most common complaints women have about the men in their life.
1. He won't talk about his feelings
How are you supposed to know how he feels about you, or how he feels about anything? Unfortunately, most men are taught to keep their emotions in check and "rub some dirt in it" to keep their manliness. Little does he know, being able to freely express his emotions makes him more of a man than anything else.
2. He doesn't clean up after himself
Leaving the toilet seat up really is one of the most annoying things a woman can ever come across when she walks into the bathroom. If he throws his clothes on the floor, or leaves his Pepsi cans and boxes of snacks on the counter, that is a big no-no as well. A respectable man should clean up after himself.
3. "I don't care"
But does he care? Constantly beating around the bush and avoiding the truth is something that should be avoided. He should be open in his thoughts and opinions. True honesty is always promising.
4. He is possessive of you
If he doesn't feel comfortable letting you go anywhere without him, this is a sign of possession. Being possessive shows there is insecurity or lack of trust in a relationship. You need to be the free spirit that you are.
5. Not being true to his word
When he says he is going to do something or that he has something planned, and then he changes his mind at the last second. No one enjoys being stood up for any reason.
6. He lacks interest in your passions
If he makes you spend four hours watching his NFL team play football, he should be willing to suffer through the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with you, or at least let you talk about your yoga class.
7. Looking at other women
We all look at people, and there is no harm in doing so, but few things are more annoying than when he almost breaks his neck doing a double take when an attractive girl walks by. It's disrespectful.
8. Not listening
When he is on his cell phone in the middle of your conversation or is not making eye contact with you, you assume he isn't listening. Even if he is very good at multitasking, he needs to pay attention to you. You don't need him to fix every problem in your life, but the least he can do is act engaged in what you have to say.
9. He is unappreciative of you
When you spend your whole afternoon cooking and he says: "You could have added a little more chicken" after taking his first bite. If he hasn't seen you spit fire before, he probably will very soon.
10. His mind is always in the gutter
Your man is, well, a man. He's not a fourteen-year-old boy anymore. For the sake of all that is good, can't they just get their mind out of the gutter and squash the dirty comments?
10. Insensitive to your emotions
Women are more sentimental and emotionally driven than men. He shouldn't assume you are just being dramatic or acting crazy. He should attempt to acknowledge your feelings and not disregard them.
11. Double standards
When he gets angry at you for planning a girls night out, and yet you were completely fine with him going to see "Star Wars" with all of his bros. No, sir. Neither of you should have more privileges than the other.
12. Blaming your emotions on your period
Any man who makes an assumption such as this should probably start sprinting in the other direction. As fast as he can.
13. Not taking "no" for an answer
When a woman says "no," she doesn't mean "yes, I'm just playing hard to get." She means no. "No, thank you." "I'm not interested." "I would rather not." Regardless of how she says it, respect her enough to stop pestering her and move on.
14. Excessive teasing
"I was just teasing!" Teasing can be fun. But when it becomes excessive, it can be taken out of context. If a man teases a woman about having a big nose, she shrieks and starts to panic, and then he revokes the comment by saying: "Your nose is so small! I was just kidding!" Then she begins to worry that her nose is abnormally small, she bursts into tears and no one wins in that situation.
Though we might drive each other crazy sometimes, we can't help but love the men in our lives. Nobody is perfect, and every problem can be worked through with love, communication and understanding.
