If you're anything like me, you probably think your husband is the best. He makes you happy, he picks you up when you're down and he has some awesome dad jokes (even if he's not even a dad yet). But what truly makes your husband amazing?
To be completely honest, the list of things that make husbands amazing could go forever. Every couple is unique, and that's what makes every relationship great. But there are a few things that most incredible husbands have in common:
1. He makes a constant effort to impress you
Your sweetheart is always looking for ways to impress you and make sure he's only giving you the very best. He loves seeing you smile, and he knows he has to keep impressing you because you impress him every moment of every day.
2. He makes sure you're happy
Nothing matters more to him than your happiness. He wants nothing more than for you to be happy all the time, and he knows how to make it happen. As long as there's a genuine smile on your face, he knows he's done his job well.
3. He works hard for you and your family
He wants to give you everything, so he works super hard to make sure you and your family have financial stability. Even if he's not making much, he's doing his best to contribute to your family.
4. He helps you
Your hubby wants to make your life easier, so he helps you wherever he can. Maybe he plays with the kids for a while while you take a nap, or maybe he makes a nice dinner while you're busy with a work project. He knows he's your teammate.
5. He wraps you in a blanket when you're cold
He doesn't necessarily have to bundle you up when you're cold, but he does notice and act on the small things. My husband knows I get cold a lot, so he always makes sure I have at least three blankets handy at all times. It's the best!
6. He really listens to you
He doesn't look at his phone when you're talking. He looks you in the eyes, makes sure he understands what you're telling him and doesn't interrupt you.
7. He offers (and asks for) advice
When you want his advice, he's ready to give it to you. If you want him to just listen and give you comfort, he's on it. And he asks for your advice too, because he values your opinion more than anyone else's.
8. He avoids pornography at all costs
Pornography is bad for relationships, and it can be extremely hard on marriages. If your husband does everything he can to avoid it, you know he values your relationship and he'll do anything to keep your marriage amazing.
9. He only says good things about you
No matter how angry you made him, he'll never vent to his friends or family about you. He talks to you about it so you can work through your issues and differences as a couple.
10. He wants to physically connect with you
Whether he reaches for your hand when you're walking or he gives you a gentle touch on the shoulder when he's talking to you, he values a physical connection with you.
11. He keeps you safe
You always feel safe when you're with him. You know your sweetheart will always protect you no matter what, and he would never purposefully put you in danger.
12. He motivates you
His incredible character motivates you to be a better person. You're constantly lifting each other up by being the best versions of yourselves you can be.
13. He doesn't expect you to be Wonder Woman all the time
He knows you don't have 48 hours in a day, and he knows you can't do everything (even if you think you can). He'll do anything he can to lighten your load, and he doesn't expect you to stretch beyond your limit for him.
14. He loves you
Above all, an amazing husband loves his wife. If you know your hubby loves you, you can consider yourself a lucky woman.
