Are you wondering if your man is truly in it for the long haul? Sometimes, it can be hard to tell whether a person is just in a relationship for fun or if they're actually committed to you.
If he does these seven things, he's 100 percent devoted to you and your relationship.
1. He talks about a future together
When he talks about his future, are you in it? Whether it's far in the future or coming up soon, any mention of you two still together in his plans is a good indicator he's in it for the long stretch.
2. He truly listens when you talk
You probably tell him about your day or things that have been on your mind. Does he truly listen? Not nodding while his eyes are looking at his phone screen, not going "mm-hm" while his mind is somewhere else and definitely not interrupting you to change the subject. If he's really listening, even when what you're talking about isn't the most interesting, he's a keeper.
3. He asks you personal questions
Personal questions, like "What are your greatest fears?" or "tell me about your childhood" are sure signs he's trying to get to know you better. He's interested in what's going on inside that head of yours and wants to learn more about who the real you is. If that's not a dead giveaway of committed interest, I don't know what is.
4. He sacrifices other things to spend more time with you
Of course two people going out are going to spend time with each other, but the difference between a man who's committed and a man who's not is the extra time he spends. Does he look for ways to see you more, or does he just see you when it's convenient? Does he sacrifice some of the other things on his plate to spend more time with you, or are you left guessing about the next time you'll get together?
5. He doesn't shy away from your loved ones
A man unwilling to commit will also be unwilling to meet your loved ones. Does he shy away from introductions to the other people in your life, or is he all in at the prospect of meeting your mom or going out on a double date with your friends?
6. He wants you to meet his people
There's two sides to this coin- not only should he be willing to meet your loved ones, but he should also want to introduce you to his. Have you grown friendly with his buddies and been to dinner with his parents, or are the other people in his life conveniently never around when you are?
7. He's open and honest with you
Have you caught him being untruthful with you? If so, chances are he's not completely committed. But if he's open with you and has earned your trust, he's most likely devoted to keeping the relationship going.
Do these signs of a committed man remind you of your love? If so, there's no expiration date on your relationship. He's going to love and adore you for years to come.
