Oprah Winfrey gets candid in an interview with People about the most romantic thing she has done for her longtime partner Stedman Graham. “The most romantic thing I do is make hot water cornbread,” she told People. “Mothers around the world feed their children on it and all you do is add the hot water to the meal and you make these little flat cakes and you fry them in a pan,” said Winfrey. “Every time I do it it’s like the most romantic thing I’ve ever done.” Winfrey went on to reveal what the most romantic thing that Graham does for her saying, "The most romantic thing he does for me at this point is going to the corner every Sunday and getting The New York Times and bringing it in to me."
Winfrey recently appeared on "The Drew Barrymore Show" where she spoke about a sweet gesture that Graham did for her on Valentine's Day after one of their dogs passed. “Each of the dogs would send their own bouquet. That’s the most romantic.”
Winfrey and Graham first met in 1986 at a charity event where they struck up a friendship. Later that year they began dating. While the pair was engaged at one point, they ultimately decided to forgo marriage, but remain life partners. In 2019, Graham opened up about his relationship while appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." “Well, the thing about our relationship is, so I’m dedicated to her happiness, so that’s great for her and I want her to be the best she can possibly be and she’s done a pretty good job of doing that,” he said. “And so for me, I’ve been able to find my own happiness, my own skills, my own talents, my own abilities and I’m satisfied with that. I’m happy with that.”
