Patrick Dempsey shared a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram for their 24th wedding anniversary. The "Grey's Anatomy" star shared a photo of the pair hiking with the caption, “24 years !! What an amazing path we have been on! Love you! Happy anniversary." His wife Jillian, shared on her Instagram story a photo of flowers gifted to her by Dempsey, saying “Flowers from my hubz! Gorgeous @patrickdempsey.” The makeup artist also shared a tribute to her marriage with another picture from their hike, captioning the photo "Happy 24th anniversary Paddy, our hike was incredible."

The couple first met in 1994 when Patrick was a client at Jillian's hair salon. They hit it off and tied the knot in 1999 at a farmhouse owned by Patrick's family in Maine. They share three children together: Talula, 21, and twin sons Darby and Sullivan, 16. Throughout their relationship, the two were not always strong, including their near-divorce in 2015 after Jillian filed for divorce. At the time, Patrick spoke with People saying, "Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of. I didn't feel like we had done all the work. And we both wanted to do that work. That's where it started. “It’s always destabilizing when you’re potentially breaking up a family or you have a big section of your life that’s ending.” The pair attended marriage counseling together to repair their marriage. “Jill and I decided it was time to work on our issues and improve. We wanted to be role models for our kids like, okay, if you have differences, you can work them out.” Eleven months later, Patrick and Jillian were spotted holding hands, and have been going strong since. Three years after their near-split, the couple returned to the special spot where they got married. Dempsey shared photos to his Instagram of the special day where they spent their 19th wedding anniversary under the gazebo in Maine where they exchanged vows.
Patrick recently took to Instagram to wish his wife a happy birthday saying, "Wishing my amazing, beautiful, talented, crazy funny wife happy birthday. You’re like a fine wine, you only get better with age. Have a great birthday. Love you always."
