When I was single, I didn't even know where to begin when it came to attracting Mr. Right. It is more than flirting or complimenting the person on their appearance. It's even more than being physically attracted to someone - you also have to have an attractive mind and personality to truly win him over. If you're struggling, here are a few things that can make it a bit easier to attract that special person you're looking for:
1. A positive attitude
Would you rather spend time with someone who's upbeat and happy? Or someone who tends to be down in the dumps all the time? People are drawn to those with positive attitudes. If you're looking to attract someone, you need to be a happy person.
It's also helpful to know this: attracting someone doesn't bring happiness in and of itself; you need to be happy before you attract someone. Now, you don't have to pretend that everything's OK all of the time, but it wouldn't hurt to be more upbeat than you are disappointed. A positive attitude shows that you are happy with the life you have. That special person will be drawn to you the most by your positive attitude.
2. Caring
To attract someone, you must be caring and compassionate towards other people. If you only care about yourself or treat other people poorly, then nobody will want to date you. People want to be with others who genuinely care about those around them ... and those who truly care, don't expect anything in return. Work on caring because you're a kind and good person, not for any ulterior motives.
3. Cooperation
This isn't something we talk about very much when it comes to relationships, but I have noticed in my marriage that this trait helps build a successful marriage. Have you ever met someone who is so stubborn they want to do everything their own way and won't even consider other views? Don't be that person. Cooperation is a hugely attractive trait.
In a sucessful relationship, both partners must cooperate and compromise. When you cooperate with someone, you show them that you care about their views and are willing to learn from them, instead of blowing them off.
4. Education
Whether it's college, a trade school, or some other type of education, people are attracted to those who have goals and want to further their skills. Education doesn't just show knowledge; it also shows that someone is willing to put in the effort to achieve something. If you're with someone who can work hard for what they want, you know they will be willing to work through hard things as a couple.
5. Independence
It's OK to be dependent, but if you're too dependent, people will feel burdened when they're around you. Mr. Right is looking for someone who can get things done and take the lead sometimes. If one person is always the follower, waiting for the other to help them with everything, you won't be seen as a potential mate. Work to be independent and helpful in a future relationship; take a cooking class, do your laundry, handle your finances and pay your bills on time, even when you're single. Don't expect your future spouse to do everything for you.
Improving these attributes of your life will not only enrich your own habits and well-being, but will also help you attract the attention of who you have your eye on.
