Aaron Goodwin, known for his role on the popular paranormal investigation show Ghost Adventures, is facing personal turmoil after his wife, Victoria Goodwin, was arrested for allegedly plotting to have him killed. The shocking case emerged after authorities discovered messages suggesting that Victoria had been working with a Florida inmate to arrange a murder-for-hire scheme.

Victoria was taken into custody on March 6 by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Authorities became aware of the plot in October 2023 when Florida corrections officers confiscated the phone of inmate Grant Amato, a 35-year-old convicted murderer serving a life sentence. Upon reviewing the phone’s contents, investigators uncovered text messages and Facebook exchanges between Amato and Victoria, which reportedly detailed plans to hire a hitman to kill Aaron Goodwin.

According to the police report, the messages revealed that Victoria and Amato had been romantically involved and had discussed transferring $11,515 to a third party to carry out the murder. On October 2, Victoria allegedly provided details about Aaron’s location and car, expressing her anxiety in a series of texts. She wrote that she was anxious, saying she couldn't believe it was happening and questioned how she had gotten to that point. She also asked, "Am I a bad person?" When Amato asked why she felt that way, she reportedly responded, "Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce."

The following day, Amato allegedly contacted the supposed hitman and later messaged them asking for an update, writing, "I need to know what is going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?"

Shortly after, Amato’s phone was confiscated, but it wasn’t until March 4, 2024, that authorities in Florida informed Nevada law enforcement about the murder plot. Victoria was arrested two days later and questioned by investigators. During the interview, she admitted to marital struggles but denied wanting her husband dead, claiming she did not recall many of the incriminating messages. She also alleged that she believed the money involved in their exchanges was for cell phones, not a murder-for-hire scheme.

Aaron Goodwin, who has been a staple on Ghost Adventures since its premiere in 2008, was shocked by the allegations. Speaking to TMZ, he revealed that he had no idea his marriage was in trouble and believed that he and Victoria had a positive, loving relationship.

Their public interactions on social media painted a picture of affection and happiness leading up to her arrest. In mid-February, Victoria posted a selfie of them on Instagram, captioning it, "Mini golf with my Valentine" followed by a heart emoji. Aaron commented on the post, "I love u even though u crushed me in mini golf."

Just a few weeks prior, on January 22, she had shared a photo of them kissing, writing, "Happy anniversary mi cariño. I love celebrating our 1st date." Aaron responded, "I’m so blessed we met. I love u."

Only a week before her arrest, Victoria shared a cozy picture of them on the couch with their cat, captioning it, "Cuddle puddle with my boys."

Despite their seemingly happy public persona, authorities believe Victoria had been actively conspiring to have Aaron murdered for months.

Victoria is set to appear in Clark County court, where she will face charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Meanwhile, it remains unclear if Grant Amato or the alleged hitman will face additional charges related to the case.

As the legal process unfolds, Ghost Adventures fans remain stunned by the revelation that a marriage that appeared loving on the surface allegedly hid a dark and dangerous secret.
