Tallulah Willis, 30, recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with autism. Tallulah, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, shared a throwback video to her Instagram of herself and Bruce at a red carpet event. She can be seen touching her father's face while he gives a red carpet interview. Tallulah captioned the video, "Tell me you're autistic without telling me you're autistic." She later said in the comments that she'd never shared the news after she was diagnosed last summer. "Actually this is the first time I’ve ever publicly shared my diagnosis," she told a social media user. "Found out this summer and it’s changed my life."

According to the organization Autism Speaks, autism refers to a "broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication." Over the past year, the Willis family has been adjusting to Bruce's frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis. In November, Tallulah spoke about her father's dementia diagnosis while appearing on "The Drew Barrymore Show." "He is the same, which I think in this regard I’ve learned is the best thing you can ask for," Tallulah said. "I see love when I’m with him, and it’s my dad, and he loves me, which is really special," she added. Barrymore asked Tallulah why her family has chosen to be so open about Bruce's diagnosis where she said, "Well, I think it’s twofold. On one hand, it’s who we are as a family, but also, it’s really important for us to spread awareness." She noted how her family "had no idea" what it would be like caring for someone with dementia. "If we can take something that we’re struggling with as a family to help other people, to turn it around to make something beautiful about it, that’s really special for us," she said.
