The cause of the accident that claimed the lives of 76 people is still under investigation; but what now monopolizes the world's attention are the words published by one of the plane's crew members on his Facebook wall just before the flight.
Gustavo Encina, a Paraguayan native, was a crew member of the ill-fated flight in which he also lost his life. The aircraft had electrical problems and crashed only about eight miles from the emergency landing spot. It was a crash that took the lives and dreams of 76 people.
Encina's post recently came to light, and some are saying his chilling message was prophetic.
It reads:
Good Morning!
Without Christ, we're all tied up, enslaved by evil. We're "hunched over" for something. Jesus wants to free you of what binds and burdens you. Come closer to the Lord, pray with faith, obey him and you'll be free.
The message has received more than 11,000 reactions, has been shared over 2,000 times and has more than 1,000 comments.
We will never know why Encina posted that message on his Facebook page just before the flight. Nor do we know the why behind all the decisions that were made during it.
The deaths continue to be a tragedy, and going forward, it is important to remember that it is not our place to judge anyone. Our mission is to use our faith to pray for the survivors and the families of those whose lives were lost.
